How to make Unicorn Cake A unicorn cake can look like an actual unicorn or can be more conceptually unicornish, this cake is of the later variety. :)I made a watercolor cake with soft pink edges and a smattering of edible gold. I was worried the cake would turn out like a carnival disaster but it came together nicely. Originally I wanted to have a multicolored meringue top with soft peaks the looked like unicorn horns but it just didn't work with the cake so I had to scrape it off and move forward. The meringue was actually really pretty so I'll make cake that's completely covered by it in the near future. The cake itself is actually chocolate which you can see poking through the crumb coat in the video, however you might prefer a vanilla or even funfetti cake to better match with the pastel exterior, Either way is delicious!
