Jon Z, Baby Rasta - Ya No Eres Mia (Vevo Ctrl) A couple years ago, Puerto Rico’s Jon Z claimed the unofficial record for most words in a hip-hop song. The lyrical feat was the trap star’s response to fellow islander Residente, a Latin rap legend and the previous holder of the record. Jon Z is a rap purist at heart, constantly tooling his flow and enhancing the technique that serves the Young Thug-ish diction that's lifted him to the top of charts. Last year’s “Voodoo” project with Baby Rasta is a highlight; Billboard describes their relationship as a bromance. Their styles intertwine seamlessly on the album - the melodic twists and turns are strong enough to captivate even non-Spanish speakers. When they hit our Ctrl studio a while back, Z with his blonde curls and Rasta with his shaved head tore up “Voodoo” and “Ya No Eres Mia.” Both tracks are seriously infectious.
