Fighting continues in DR Congo as president vows ‘vigorous response’ • FRANCE 24 English

DR Congo’s president Félix Tshisekedi has vowed “a vigorous response” to fighting in the east of the country, warning of the risk of regional escalation. The anti-government armed group M23 has taken control of Goma, a large city of over a million inhabitants, after a lightning offensive lasting several weeks alongside Rwandan troops.
