Paris votes in referendum overwhelmingly to ban for-hire e-scooters • FRANCE 24 English

Since they came on the scene, rentable scooters have been everywhere in Paris, but they could soon be a thing of the past. That's because Parisians voted Sunday to ban them, though fewer than 10 percent turned out. In a non-binding referendum, around 90 percent of people decided they'd had enough. Not everyone is happy with the result though: For some rentable scooters have become a more reliable alternative to public transport. FRANCE 24's Fraser Jackson explains.
